Bottom-ranked San Martin (0-8) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 69-66 loss to eleventh ranked Platense (6-9) in Corrientes on Tuesday evening. Point guard Felipe Massa (184-2002) scored 30 points and 7 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Santino Mazzucchelli chipped in 24 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was Augusto DAndrea (188-2002) with 30 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and point guard Maximo Gomez (175-2005) scored 13 points. Despite that victory Platense went down to thirteenth position due to points difference. Loser San Martin still closes the standings with eight games lost.
