Regular Season Round 14: San Martin - Platense 115-111

There was a small surprise in Corrientes where eleventh ranked San Martin (6-3) won against 8th ranked Platense (7-7) 115-111 on Wednesday. The best player for the winners was the former international Matias Solanas (192-1998) who scored 30 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. International Javier Saiz (206-1994) chipped in a double-double by scoring 21 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists. American power forward DeMarco Owens (203-1996, college: Montevallo) produced a double-double by scoring 25 points and 12 rebounds and point guard Victor Fernandez (180-1999) added 25 points and 5 assists respectively for the guests. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. San Martin moved-up to tenth place. Loser Platense keeps the eighth position with seven games lost. They share it with Ferro. San Martin will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Platense will play against Regatas (#11) in Corrientes and hope to secure a win.
