A very close game took place in Montevideo (derby !!!) between Aguada and Hebraica. Third ranked Aguada (7-5) got a very close victory on the road over 5th ranked Hebraica (7-5). Aguada managed to escape with a 2-point win 90-88 in the game for the third place. Aguada looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. Dominican center Eloy Vargas (211-1988, college: Kentucky, agency: BIG) fired a double-double by scoring 20 points and 16 rebounds for the winners. Point guard Juan Santiso (185-1994) chipped in 19 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists. Naturalized Italian point guard Luciano Parodi (182-1994) produced 30 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists and American-Dominican guard Adonys Henriquez (201-1994, college: St.Louis) added 14 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Hebraica's coach Leonardo Zylberstein rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Aguada have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain third place with 7-5 record having just two points less than leader Bigua, which they share with 3 other teams including defeated Hebraica. Aguada's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Montevideo to the arena Defensor.
