The game between second ranked Obras (12-4) and eighteenth ranked Union SF (4-11) was the most important one in the last round on Saturday night. Obras was defeated by Union SF in a tough game in Santa Fe 77-86. It ended at the same time the ten-game winning streak of Obras. Union SF dominated down low during the game scoring 46 of its points in the paint compared to Obras' 24 and made 16-of-19 free shots (84.2 percent) during the game. The best player for the winners was Cuban center Pedro Bombino (206-2000, agency: Pro Sports) who scored 25 points (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field). At the other side the best for losing team was American Isaac Copeland (206-1995, college: Nebraska) who recorded 24 points and Nigerian forward Jeffrey Solarin (193-1992, college: Idaho St.) added 12 points and 6 rebounds respectively. Four Obras players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Union SF moved-up to seventeenth place. Obras at the other side dropped to the third position with four games lost. Union SF will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Obras will play on the road against Comunicaciones in Mercedes and is hoping to win this game.
