Everything went according to plan when third ranked Sao Paulo (11-3) outleveled at home 11th ranked Sao Jose (5-9) 96-68 on Saturday. American guard Malcolm Miller (201-1991, college: Southern) scored 21 points and 6 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and center Enrico De Paula (205-2005) chipped in 15 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. Five Sao Paulo players scored in double figures. Argentinian point guard Diego Figueredo (185-1991, agency: BIG) responded with 13 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and power forward Renato Carbonari (202-1987) scored 11 points and 7 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Sao Paulo maintains third position with 11-3 record having just three points less than leader Sesi Franca. Sao Jose lost fifth consecutive game. They dropped to the tenth place with nine games lost.
