The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Obera as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Obera smashed 17th ranked Union at home 83-55. Obera shot 62.8 percent from the field and made 19-of-21 free shots (90.5 percent) during the game. It was a great shooting night for Obera especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 58.8 percentage. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Francisco Tarnowyk (192-2001) who helped to win the game recording 17 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) and Nicolas Quiroga (191-2003) who added 21 points (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) during the contest. Five Obera players scored in double figures. Obera's coach felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Lorenzo Micheloni (195-2001) responded with 14 points and 8 rebounds and guard Matias Cagliero (187-2005) scored 15 points. Obera (13-2) have an impressive five-game winning streak. As mentioned above they are at the top of the standings, which they share with Instituto. Union lost sixth consecutive game. They keep the seventeenth place with ten games lost. Union will play next round against Comunicaciones trying to get back on the winning streak. Obera will try to continue on its current victory against thirteenth ranked Riachuelo LR in La Rioja.
