Another interesting game was again a derby between two local teams from Montevideo: Bigua (#1) and L.Borges (#8). Bigua (12-3) won against visiting L.Borges (7-9) 111-98. Bigua shot 60.3 percent from the field and made 17-of-20 free shots (85.0 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. The winners were led by American Donald Sims (190-1987, college: App State, agency: Pensack Sports) who scored that evening 34 points (!!!), 8 assists and 4 steals and the other American import Victor Rudd (206-1991, college: S.Florida) supported him with 27 points and 6 rebounds. Even a double-double of 22 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists by American Akia Pruitt (203-1997, college: UNCP) did not help to save the game for L.Borges. Gaston Semiglia (186-1991) added 22 points and 7 assists for lost side. Five L.Borges players scored in double figures. Bigua have a solid four-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 12-3 record. Loser L.Borges dropped to the ninth place with nine games lost.
