Not a big story in a game when 15th ranked Argentino (6-13) lost to seventh ranked Platense (11-7) in Junin 87-91 on Sunday. Platense made 16-of-21 free shots (76.2 percent) during the game. It was a great shooting night for Platense especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.9 percentage. The winners were led by swingman Julian Morales (195) who scored that evening 21 points (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) and Uruguayan-Italian swingman Nicola Pomoli (195-1999) supported him with 12 points and 8 rebounds. Five Platense players scored in double figures. Even a double-double of 35 points (!!!) and 10 rebounds by naturalized American Johnatan Slider (192-1987) did not help to save the game for Argentino. Point guard Jeremias Sandrini (185-1993) added 8 points and 9 assists for the hosts. Platense have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain seventh position with 11-7 record. Argentino lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the fifteenth place with 13 games lost. Platense will meet at home Independ.O. (#13) in the next round where they are favorite. Argentino will play against San Martin and hope to secure a win.
