There was a surprise result in La Rioja where fourteenth ranked Riachuelo LR (8-7) edged higher ranked Quimsa (10-8) 89-86 on Thursday. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Mateo Corso (185-2003) who helped to win the game recording 19 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and Matias Bichara who added 18 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. Riachuelo LR's coach allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. The best for the losing side was swingman Diego Collomb (192-2004) with 25 points and 7 assists and center Raymon Bastardo (202-2002) scored 22 points and 7 rebounds (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line). Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Riachuelo LR moved-up to thirteenth place. Loser Quimsa dropped to the seventh position with eight games lost. They share it with Boca Jrs.. Riachuelo LR will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Quimsa will play against Union (#19) and hope to secure a win.
