Regular Season Round 28: GEPU - Echague 80-70

There was no surprise in San Luis where 12th ranked Echague (8-13) was defeated by fourth ranked GEPU (13-5) 80-70 on Sunday. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Randy Haynes (193-1995, college: ODU, agency: SLN) who helped to win the game recording 22 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and the other American import Tirrell Brown (198-1993, college: OBU) who added 22 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side guard Federico Gonzalez (183-1988) responded with 16 points and forward Ignacio Zulberti (200-1996) scored 8 points and 7 rebounds. Echague's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. GEPU have a solid four-game winning streak. Newly promoted GEPU maintains fourth position with 13-5 record. Loser Echague dropped to the tenth place with 13 games lost. GEPU will meet CAO Ceres (#13) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Echague will play against Jachal and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
