There was no surprise when 12th ranked Tinguiririca (1-4) was crushed on the road by seventh ranked Puente Alto (3-2) 87-68 on Sunday. Puente Alto looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. American forward Dennis McKinney (193-1998, college: Mt.Mercy, agency: GoEmpire Group) scored 21 points and 8 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and the other American import forward Marquez Letcher-Ellis (203-1997, college: Nevada) chipped in 18 points and 11 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was guard Matias Sepulveda (-1995) with 19 points and the former international forward Gianncarlo Caraboni scored 9 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists. Tinguiririca's coach rotated ten players seeing no chance for a win. Puente Alto moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Valdivia and Quilicura. Loser Tinguiririca dropped to the thirteenth position with four games lost. Puente Alto will meet Valdivia (#8) on the road in the next round. Tinguiririca will play against Espanol O. (#3) and hope to win that game.
