The game in was also quite interesting. One of their biggest challengers Valdivia (3-2) played at the court of fifth ranked Espanol O. (4-1). Espanol O. managed to secure a 9-point victory 100-91 on Sunday. Strangely Valdivia outrebounded Espanol O. 32-17 including 20 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. The former international Carlos Lauler (190) scored 26 points and 5 assists to lead the charge for the winners and Argentinian point guard Nicolas Zurschmitten (183-1995) chipped in 16 points and 13 assists during the contest. The best for the losing side was Argentinian forward Nicholas Wadell (201-1989) with 25 points and 9 rebounds (on 12-of-15 shooting from the field) and Argentinian Juan Manuel Rivero (191-1985) scored 18 points and 8 rebounds. Five Espanol O. and four Valdivia players scored in double figures. Espanol O. have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place. Loser Valdivia dropped to the sixth position with two games lost. They share it with Puente Alto and Quilicura. Espanol O. will meet at home Las Animas (#10) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Valdivia will play against Puente Alto (#6) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
