Regular Season Round 13: Tucker Boys - Rockets 82-104

Another exciting game was again a derby between two teams from Nassau: Rockets (#1) and Tucker Boys (#5). Tucker Boys were crushed at home by 22 points 82-104 and even the advantage of their own court did not help. Rockets forced 28 Tucker Boys turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 27 assists comparing to just 13 passes made by Tucker Boys' players. Devon Ferguson stepped up and scored 32 points and 5 rebounds for the winners and Roosevelt Whylly chipped in 14 points and 9 rebounds. Rockets' coach felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side Randon Swaby responded with 19 points and 9 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) and Leon Bain scored 19 points and 4 steals. Five Tucker Boys players scored in double figures. The victory was the ninth consecutive win for Rockets. They maintain first place with 9-0 record. Tucker Boys lost their third game in a row. They keep the fifth position with eight games lost. Rockets will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Tucker Boys' supporters look forward to another derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Nassau Regulators.
