Another exciting game was again a derby between two teams from Montevideo: Malvin (#8) and Goes (#2). Malvin (11-10) crushed visiting Goes (12-8) by 18 points 109-91. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Goes. They outrebounded Goes 36-23 including a 31-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. Malvin shot the lights out from three nailing 15 long-distance shots on high 60.0 percentage. Goes were plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. American Daniel Hamilton (201-1995, college: UConn) stepped up and scored 43 points (!!!), 9 rebounds and 7 assists (on 14-of-18 shooting from the field) for the winners and U.S. Virgin Islands-Puerto Rican forward Ivan Aska (201-1990, college: Murray St., agency: 011 Sports) chipped in 19 points and 9 rebounds. The best for the losing side was guard Martin Osimani (194-1981, college: Duquesne, agency: Pro Sports) with 22 points and Joaquin Osimani (193-1987) scored 18 points and 6 assists. Four Malvin and five Goes players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Malvin have a solid series of four victories in a row. They moved-up to sixth place. Goes at the other side keep the second position with eight games lost. Malvin's supporters look forward to another derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Montevideo .
