Another exciting game was again a derby match of two local teams from Montevideo: Nacional (#6) and Aguada (#3). Nacional (11-9) crushed visiting Aguada (12-9) by 20 points 87-67. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Aguada. American center Gary McGhee (210-1988, college: Pittsburgh, agency: Inception Sports) nailed a double-double by scoring 15 points and 11 rebounds for the winning side and Federico Pereiras (190-1994) accounted for 17 points. Five Nacional players scored in double figures. Point guard Juan Santiso (185-1994) came up with a double-double by scoring 13 points, 10 rebounds and 7 assists and Dominican center Eloy Vargas (211-1988, college: Kentucky, agency: BIG) added 8 points and 9 rebounds respectively for Aguada in the defeat. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Nacional moved-up to fifth place. Loser Aguada keeps the third position with nine games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
