Regular Season Round 30: Platense - San Martin 69-66

Twentieth-ranked San Martin (1-17) gave a tough game to fourteenth ranked Platense (10-12) in Florida on Saturday. Platense managed to secure only three-point victory 69-66. However their fans expected much easier game. The best player for the winners was point guard Juan Frigerio (170-2003) who scored 19 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 steals (went 10 for 10 at the free throw line !!!). Santino Mazzucchelli chipped in 17 points and 6 rebounds. Platense's coach used entire bench in such tough game. At the other side the best for losing team was center Julian Lorca (207-2003) who recorded a double-double by scoring 26 points and 10 rebounds and Augusto DAndrea (188-2002) added 14 points respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Platense moved-up to thirteenth place. San Martin lost third consecutive game. They stay dead last with 17 lost games. Platense will meet at home Olimpico (#18) in the next round where they are favorite. San Martin will play against Obras in Buenos Aires and hope to win that game.
