Regular Season Round 8: Temuco - Puente Alto 75-82

Bottom-ranked Temuco is still unable to win any game. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their seventh consecutive match to eighth ranked Puente Alto (4-3) 82-75 on Sunday evening. Puente Alto outrebounded Temuco 45-33 including 34 on the defensive glass. The winners were led by American forward Marquez Letcher-Ellis (203-1997, college: Nevada) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 22 points, 21 rebounds and 5 blocks and the other American import forward Dennis McKinney (193-1998, college: Mt.Mercy, agency: GoEmpire Group) supported him with 15 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Puente Alto players scored in double figures. Even 30 points and 4 steals (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line) by Uruguayan point guard Martin Perdomo (178-1995) did not help to save the game for Temuco. The former international center Carlos Aranda (200) added 13 points and 12 rebounds for the hosts. Puente Alto moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Quilicura. Loser Temuco still closes the standings with seven games lost. Puente Alto will meet higher ranked Puerto Varas (#5) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Temuco will play against the league's second-placed Ancud (#2) and will have a slim chance for a victory.
