Another exciting game was again a derby between two local teams from Montevideo: Bigua (#1) and Nacional (#7). Bigua (15-4) won against visiting Nacional (11-11) 94-86. Bigua made 25-of-31 free shots (80.6 percent) during the game, while Nacional only scored eight points from the stripe. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. It was a great evening for American Donald Sims (190-1987, college: App State, agency: Pensack Sports) who led his team to a victory scoring 26 points and 4 assists. Forward Martin Rojas (195-1998) helped adding 15 points, 12 rebounds and 6 assists. Five Bigua players scored in double figures. American Brandon Nazione (202-1994, college: EMU, agency: Players Group) responded with 13 points and 8 rebounds and point guard Patricio Prieto (185-2002) scored 20 points. Nacional's coach Gonzalo Fernandez rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Bigua have a solid series of three victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with 15-4 record. Loser Nacional keeps the seventh position with 11 games lost. They share it with Defensor. Bigua's supporters look forward to another derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Montevideo Trouville.
