There was no surprise in Sao Paulo where 11th ranked UNIFACISA (10-13) was defeated by fifth ranked Paulistano (15-9) 85-68 on Thursday. Paulistano dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to UNIFACISA's 30. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. It was a great evening for American point guard Nate Barnes (182-1990, college: ABU) who led his team to a victory scoring 24 points. Forward Lucas Doria (203, college: St.Edward's) helped adding 10 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. Paulistano's coach Demetrius Ferraciu used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. Guard Caue Freitas (192-1988) responded with 10 points and 7 rebounds and Panamanian-American point guard Trevor Gaskins (188-1989, college: Louisiana Tech, agency: Pro Sports) scored 10 points and 6 assists.
