Regular Season Round 6: Dep.Berazategui - Union Florida 50-49

The most exciting game of round 6 in the LaLiga Femenina took place in Buenos Aires. This derby game ended with only one-point defeat on the road of second-best Union Florida (6-2) to third ranked Dep.Berazategui (4-3) 50-49 on Saturday evening. It ended at the same time the six-game winning streak of Union Florida. Dep.Berazategui forced 19 Union Florida turnovers. The former international center Florencia Fernandez (189-1986) scored 15 points and 8 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Maria Jourdheuil (180-1994) chipped in 10 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was forward Carla Miculka (174-1993) with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 15 rebounds and Delfina Saravia (171-2003) scored 7 points. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Dep.Berazategui maintains third position with 4-3 record having just two points less than leader Quimsa. Union Florida at the other side keeps the second place with two games lost. Dep.Berazategui are again looking forward to face league's second-placed Union Florida on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Union Florida will have a break next round.
