Regular Season Round 29: Riachuelo LR - Regatas 95-88

There was a surprise result when fifteenth ranked Riachuelo LR (10-13) beat higher ranked Regatas (12-13) in La Rioja 95-88 on Saturday. Riachuelo LR made 22-of-29 free shots (75.9 percent) during the game. American guard Latraius Mosley (198-1990, college: Life) nailed 25 points and 4 assists for the winning side and forward Mariano Fierro (200-1986) accounted for 16 points and 15 rebounds. The former international forward Facundo Pinero (202-1988) came up with 28 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists and the former international forward Pablo Espinoza (201-1987) added 19 points and 17 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) respectively for Regatas in the defeat. Four Riachuelo LR and five Regatas players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Riachuelo LR have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain fifteenth place with 10-13 record. Loser Regatas keeps the eleventh position with 13 games lost. Riachuelo LR will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Regatas will play against La Union (#13) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
