Date: February 14, 2023
The most exciting game of round 29 in the La Liga took place in La Banda. This derby game ended with only three-point home defeat of 5th ranked Olimpico (15-9) to third ranked Obera (18-6) 77-74 on Tuesday evening. American power forward Charles Mitchell (203-1993, college: Georgia Tech, agency: Slash Sports) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds. The former international point guard Nicolas De los Santos (180-1988) contributed with 10 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. Forward Patricio Tabarez (195-1991) answered with 15 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and the former international Leonardo Lema (204-1998) added 17 points in the effort for Olimpico. Five Obera and four Olimpico players scored in double figures. Olimpico's coach Leonardo Gutierrez rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Obera have a solid series of four victories in a row. They moved-up to second place. Olimpico at the other side dropped to the seventh position with nine games lost. Obera will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Olimpico will play at home against Gimnasia (#4) and is hoping to prove to their supporters that this time they can win.
