An interesting game for Gimnasia (21-8) which hosted in Comodoro Rivadavia 4th placed Obera (20-10). Second ranked Gimnasia managed to get a 5-point victory 81-76. It was a great evening for American center Gerard DeVaughn (205-1988, college: Stillman) who led his team to a victory scoring 18 points and 7 rebounds. The former international Ivan Gramajo (193-1996) helped adding 15 points and 4 assists. DeVaughn is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. American power forward Charles Mitchell (203-1993, college: Georgia Tech, agency: Slash Sports) responded with 16 points and 6 rebounds and the former international point guard Nicolas De los Santos (180-1988) scored 18 points (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line). Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Gimnasia have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain second place with 21-8 record behind leader Instituto. Obera at the other side keeps the fourth position with ten games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
