Regular Season Round 5: Red Taigaz - Tiger Sharks 88-103

There was a minor upset when 5th ranked Red Taigaz (3-4) lost to seventh ranked Tiger Sharks (3-4) in Belmopan 88-103. Tiger Sharks dominated down low during the game scoring 76 of its points in the paint compared to Red Taigaz's 44. They outrebounded Red Taigaz 56-41 including 23 on the offensive glass. Point guard Francis Arana (180-1997) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 22 points, 7 rebounds, 12 assists and 4 steals for the winners and American swingman Kyle Steward (201-1995, college: UMKC) chipped in 23 points and 10 rebounds. Five Tiger Sharks players scored in double figures. American Jeremiah Toney (196-1998, college: Southwest, agency: One Motive Sports) responded with 29 points and 9 rebounds and the other American import forward Ben Page (198, college: Concordia, TX) scored 27 points and 5 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Tiger Sharks moved-up to fourth place, which they share with 3 other teams including defeated Red Taigaz.
