Regular Season Round 37: Regatas - Quimsa 77-75

There was an upset in Corrientes where 4th placed Quimsa (21-9) was edged by tenth ranked Regatas (17-14) 77-75 on Saturday. Forward Alejandro Diez (201-1987) stepped up and scored 18 points and 7 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) for the winners and guard Juan Arengo (185-1996) chipped in 16 points. At the losing side American power forward Eric Anderson (204-1993, college: New Haven) responded with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 10 rebounds and the former international forward Fabian Ramirez (200-1990) scored 7 points and 7 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Regatas moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Penarol. Loser Quimsa keeps the fourth position with nine games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
