Regular Season Round 2: Cocodrilos - Panteras 66-58

Another interesting game was a derby match between two local teams from Caracas: Cocodrilos and Panteras. Cocodrilos won against visiting Panteras 66-58. Dominican Luis Montero (203-1993, college: South Plains) scored 17 points and 7 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and the former international forward Luis Bethelmy (200-1986) chipped in 14 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. Four Cocodrilos players scored in double figures. Cocodrilos' coach Gonzalo Garcia used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Jhonatan Acosta (197-1996) responded with 9 points and 23 rebounds and American guard Avry Holmes (185-1994, college: Clemson) scored 12 points and 4 assists. Cocodrilos' supporters look forward to another derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Caracas to the arena Panteras.
