But Toros were not able to use a home court advantage and lost to the opponent from Caracas 93-79 on Thursday night. The best player for the winners was Dominican point guard Richard Bautista (185-1997) who scored 20 points, 5 rebounds, 8 assists and 5 steals. Swingman Kevin Nino (195-1991) chipped in 15 points. Heroes' coach Ricardo Gonzalez used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Javier Vargas (197-1998) who recorded 18 points and 6 rebounds and power forward Brian Guidi (200-1991) added 15 points and 9 rebounds respectively. Four Toros players scored in double figures. Heroes will meet at home Gaiteros (#5) in the next round. Toros will play against Centauros in Margarita and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
