Regular Season Round 45: Pico FC - Lanus 93-78

There was a minor upset when 6th ranked Lanus (17-15) lost to ninth ranked Pico FC (15-16) in General Pico 78-93 on Monday. Pico FC dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Lanus' 32. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. American-Rwandan forward Axel Mpoyo (203-1997, college: GSU) nailed 25 points and 7 rebounds for the winning side and guard Augusto Rossi (190-1988) accounted for 19 points and 7 assists. Jorge Banegas (190-1993, agency: BIG) came up with 16 points and 8 assists and power forward Santiago Bruera (206-1998, college: FAU, agency: BIG) added 13 points and 5 rebounds respectively for Lanus in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Lanus' coach Sebastian Saborido tested eleven players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Pico FC moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Colon SF and Pergamino. Loser Lanus keeps the sixth position with 15 games lost. They share it with Independiente. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
