Very significant was Mieleras' (#2, 10-2) victory against 3rd placed Racers (7-5) 69-58. Mieleras forced 23 Racers turnovers. It was an exceptional evening for American forward Destiny Campbell (185, college: ECU) who led the winners and scored 18 points and 8 rebounds. The former international Brisa Silva (170-1984, college: OK State, agency: ROCKIN SPORTS) accounted for 12 points and 5 assists for the winning side. American forward Alexis Johnson (183, college: Virginia Union) came up with a double-double by scoring 12 points, 12 rebounds and 5 blocks and the former international swingman Daniela Soto (177-1995) added 17 points respectively for Racers in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. The victory was the sixth consecutive win for Mieleras. Defending champion maintains second place with 10-2 record having just two points less than leader Teporacas. Racers lost their fourth game in a row. They keep the third position with five games lost.
