The game between closely ranked teams ended with 5th ranked Toros' (1-9) home loss to fourth ranked Llaneros (3-7) in Maracay 80-85 on Sunday. It was an exceptional evening for American guard JD Williams (196-1997, college: ULM) who led the winners and scored 15 points and 4 assists. His fellow American import forward Lance Thomas (206-1999, college: USA, agency: Haylett Sports) accounted for 12 points and 7 rebounds for the winning side. Four Llaneros players scored in double figures. Dominican Braynt De La Cruz (195) came up with 17 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists and forward Javier Vargas (197-1998) added 16 points respectively for Toros in the defeat. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Llaneros maintains fourth place with 3-7 record. Toros lost ninth consecutive game. They keep the fifth position with nine games lost.
