Top ranked Instituto (29-7) recorded its seventh loss in La Rioja on Monday night. Visitors were defeated by thirteenth ranked Riachuelo LR (18-17) 94-88. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Instituto. Riachuelo LR dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Instituto's 36. American Justin Jackson (203-1990, college: Cincinnati) fired 18 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. His fellow American import forward Diamon Simpson (204-1987, college: St.Mary's, CA) chipped in 14 points and 6 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field).
