Regular Season Round 4: Sorocabana - Santos 60-49

Very important is a road loss of second ranked Santos (3-2) against fourth ranked Sorocabana (3-3) on Saturday night. Visiting Santos was defeated by Sorocabana in Sorocabana 60-49. Sorocabana forced 21 Santos turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Aquiles Ferreira (194-1998) who helped to win the game recording 23 points and 8 rebounds. Point guard Beto Fagundes (188-2000) contributed with 13 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Andrezao Silva (198-1990) replied with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 10 rebounds and power forward Dida Pereira (202-1992, college: Sequoias CC) added 10 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Santos. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Sorocabana maintains fourth position with 3-3 record. Santos at the other side keeps the second place with two games lost. They share the position with 3 other teams.
