Regular Season Round 7: Tiger Sharks - Panthers 83-51

There was no surprise in San Pedro where 8th ranked Panthers (1-9) were crushed by sixth ranked Tiger Sharks (4-4) 83-51 on Saturday. Tiger Sharks dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Panthers' 34. They outrebounded Panthers 56-35 including a 39-28 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a great evening for American swingman Kyle Steward (201-1995, college: UMKC) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!) and 10 rebounds. His fellow American import power forward Jamaal Clifton (198, college: Langston) helped adding 12 points and 9 rebounds. At the losing side guard Elbert Ariola responded with 13 points and 6 rebounds and Chance Leslie scored 10 points and 7 rebounds. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Tiger Sharks have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to fifth place. Panthers lost sixth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with nine games lost.
