Not a big story in a game when 8th ranked Halcones de Ciudad Obregon (5-15) was defeated at home by sixth ranked Tijuana Zonkeys (9-11) 88-83 on Saturday. Tijuana Zonkeys made 20-of-22 free shots (90.9 percent) during the game. Strangely Halcones de Ciudad Obregon outrebounded Tijuana Zonkeys 40-27 including 30 on the defensive glass. The game was also dominated by American players. Akia Pruitt (203-1997, college: UNCP) scored 23 points and 9 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and forward Anthony Young (200-1989, college: KWC) chipped in 20 points and 4 assists during the contest. At the losing side guard Jimmy Whitt (190-1997, college: Arkansas, agency: Interperformances) responded with 25 points and 9 rebounds and guard Robert Colon (187-1999, college: WSSU) scored 19 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists.
