No shocking result in a game when second ranked Los Leones (19-4) crushed 14th ranked Tinguiririca (3-20) in San Fernando 98-58 on Sunday. Los Leones forced 24 Tinguiririca turnovers and outrebounded them 37-26 including 24 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists comparing to just 7 passes made by Tinguiririca's players. American Tyrone Lee (203-1990, college: GVSU) nailed a double-double by scoring 27 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists for the winning side and international forward Ignacio Carrion (201-1993) accounted for 9 points. The former international forward Gianncarlo Caraboni came up with 25 points and center Sergio Chialva (-1994) added 9 points and 6 rebounds respectively for Tinguiririca in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Los Leones maintains second place with 19-4 record having four points less than leader Concepcion. Tinguiririca lost eighth consecutive game. They keep the fourteenth position with 20 games lost.
