Regular Season Round 25: Quilicura - Puerto Varas 75-74

A very close game took place in Quilicura between Quilicura and Puerto Varas. Ninth ranked Quilicura (12-10) got a very close home victory over 10th ranked Puerto Varas (11-14). Quilicura managed to escape with a 1-point win 75-74 on Sunday evening. American forward Chris Perry (203-1994, college: LMU) nailed a double-double by scoring 10 points and 13 rebounds for the winning side and Facundo Fernandez accounted for 11 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists. Four Quilicura players scored in double figures. Argentinian Tomas Rossi (202) came up with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 11 rebounds and Uruguayan guard Martin Trelles (187-1996) added 12 points respectively for Puerto Varas in the defeat. Puerto Varas' coach Leonardo Monsalvez rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Quilicura moved-up to eighth place. Loser Puerto Varas keep the tenth position with 14 games lost. Quilicura will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Puerto Varas will play against Espanol O. (#7) and hope to secure a win.
