We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams in Santiago where 5th ranked Univ.de Chile (1-2) was defeated by sixth ranked Brisas (1-2) 69-59 on Thursday. Brisas forced 24 Univ.de Chile turnovers. Strangely Univ.de Chile outrebounded Brisas 48-36 including 16 on the offensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of Paulina Henrriquez who helped to win the game recording 24 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals and Belen Carreno (-2005) who added 13 points during the contest. At the losing side Isidora Urra (-2002) responded with 9 points and 9 rebounds and Carolina Morales (-2003) scored 12 points and 7 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Brisas left bottom position moving up to fifth place, which they share with 4 other teams including defeated Univ.de Chile. Brisas will meet league's leader CDSC in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Univ.de Chile's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Santiago to the arena Sergio Ceppi.
