The most exciting game was a derby match between two local teams from Caracas: Cocodrilos (#2) and Spartans (#6). Cocodrilos (13-6) won against visiting Spartans (9-8) 88-73. It ended at the same time the seven-game winning streak of Spartans. 24 personal fouls committed by Spartans helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Worth to mention a great performance of Dominican Luis Montero (203-1993, college: South Plains) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds. The former international forward Anyelo Cisneros (200-1997) contributed with 14 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. The former international guard Yohanner Sifontes (192-1995) answered with 13 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists and American forward Branden Dawson (200-1993, college: Michigan St.) added 10 points and 13 rebounds in the effort for Spartans. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Cocodrilos maintains second place with 13-6 record behind leader Gladiadores. Spartans at the other side keep the sixth position with eight games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
