Second Stage Round 7: Teporacas - Lobas 80-50

An interesting game for Teporacas (5-0) which hosted in their biggest opponent Lobas (2-3). Leader Teporacas had an easy win 80-50. Teporacas players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists comparing to just 8 passes made by Lobas' players. It was a great evening for Emmonnie Henderson who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 15 rebounds. The former international swingman Sandra Vargas (174-1997) helped adding 13 points and 8 rebounds. At the losing side swingman Anel Tapia (175) responded with 16 points and 6 rebounds and Colombian Laura Garrido (172) scored 7 points and 6 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for Teporacas. They maintain first place with 5-0 record, which they share with Mieleras. Lobas at the other side keep the second position with three games lost. Teporacas' supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in to the arena .
