Adelitas smashed Abejas in Chihuahua 100-72. They outrebounded Abejas 45-28 including 32 on the defensive glass. Adelitas looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. American center Danielle Adams (185-1989, college: Texas A&M) fired 29 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Her fellow American import center Channon Fluker (193-1997, college: CSUN) chipped in a double-double by scoring 17 points and 18 rebounds. Five Adelitas players scored in double figures. Point guard Dana Soto (167-1997) produced 23 points and 4 assists and Venezuelan guard Waleska Perez (180-1994, college: Weatherford JC) added 13 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 steals respectively for lost side. Abejas' coach Carlos Gorosito gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Abejas will have a break next week, which should allow them to rest in order to get back on the winning path. Adelitas will try to continue on its current victory against Correcaminos on the road.
