Undefeated Gimnastico (2-1) recorded its first loss in Vina del Mar. Hosts were defeated by fourth ranked Sportiva Ita. (2-1) 83-67. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Gimnastico. It was a key game for the second position in the league. Sportiva Ita. dominated down low during the game scoring 44 of its points in the paint compared to Gimnastico's 24. The former international forward Catalina Perez (195-1997) notched a double-double by scoring 29 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the effort and the former international swingman Thiare Garcia (179-2000) supported her with 13 points, 8 rebounds and 10 assists. Four Sportiva Ita. players scored in double figures. Sportiva Ita.'s coach Gianluca Pozo used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Even 17 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists by Italian-Argentinian Daniela Dublo (184-1988) did not help to save the game for Gimnastico. The former international center Ziomara Morrison (194-1989, agency: LBM Management) added 12 points and 9 rebounds. Defending champion moved-up to second place, which they share with Gimnastico and Puerto Montt. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
