Regular Season Round 2: Plateras - Rojas 73-82

There was no surprise in Fresnillo where Plateras were defeated by Rojas 82-73 on Saturday. Rojas looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The game was also dominated by American players. Forward Stasha Carey (188-1995, college: Rutgers) had a double-double by scoring 22 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the charge for the winners and forward Angela Tompkins (188-1991, college: Wichita St.) chipped in 22 points and 11 rebounds during the contest. Center Vionise Pierre-Louis (193-1995, college: Oklahoma) responded with 19 points and 7 rebounds and forward Kamilah Jackson (183-1992, college: Hawaii) produced a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
