Very important is a road loss of third ranked Aleman (2-3) against fourth ranked Colo Colo (2-1) on Sunday night. Visiting Aleman was crushed by Colo Colo in Santiago 91-48. Colo Colo forced 20 Aleman turnovers and outrebounded them 53-15 including a 40-12 advantage in defensive rebounds. They shot the lights out from three sinking 15 long-distance shots on high 51.7 percentage. The best player for the winners was the former international guard Eduardo Sepulveda (186-1986) who scored 26 points and 5 rebounds. Guard Francisco Atala (-1994) chipped in 14 points and 8 rebounds. Colo Colo's coach felt very confident that he used entire bench saving starting five for next games. Forward Jose Campos (-2002) produced 16 points and 4 assists and forward Rafael Chaparro (-2002) added 5 points respectively for the guests. Colo Colo moved-up to second place, which they share with Arabe de Valp. and Truenos. Aleman lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the fourth position with three games lost. Colo Colo will meet Liceo Curico (#5) on the road in the next round. Aleman will have a break next round.
