Everything went according to plan in Caracas where fourth ranked Brillantes (18-7) beat 7th ranked Gaiteros (10-15) 93-85 on Sunday. Brillantes made 22-of-24 free shots (91.7 percent) during the game. The best player for the winners was American guard Davaunta Thomas (196-1995, college: UAFS) who scored 22 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. His fellow American import center Ricardo Glenn (203-1990, college: USC Upstate, agency: Interperformances) chipped in 14 points and 7 rebounds. Thomas is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market.
