No shocking result in a game when second ranked Sampaio (9-3) crushed bottom-ranked Ituano (2-9) in Sampaio Basquete 65-38. They outrebounded Ituano 45-33 including 38 on the defensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international center Mariana Queiroz (190-1997) who helped to win the game recording 14 points and 7 rebounds and Argentinian point guard Melisa Gretter (166-1993) who added 2 points, 13 rebounds and 6 assists during the contest. Coach Cristian Santander's team controlled all game and the coach could let to play 10 players and allowed the starting five to rest. The best for the losing side was center Monique Pereira (190-1996) with 13 points and 5 rebounds and the former international power forward Karina Jacob (187-1985) scored 2 points and 11 rebounds. Defending champion maintains second position with 9-3 record having just two points less than leader Sesi/Arara. Ituano at the other side stay at the bottom place with nine games lost. Sampaio will play against league's leader Sesi/Arara. in Araraquara in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Ituano will play against LSB (#7) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
