Very important is a road loss of third ranked Azucareras (2-2) against fourth ranked Escuela (1-4) on Wednesday night. Visiting Azucareras were defeated by Escuela in 50-37. Escuela held Azucareras to an opponent 23.6 percent shooting from the field compared to 31.0 percent accuracy of the winners. Escuela forced 24 Azucareras turnovers. It was a good game for Mariana Diaz (-2002) who led her team to a victory with 11 points and 5 rebounds. The former international forward Jenifer Munoz (170-1991) contributed with 8 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Forward Ibone Vargas (-1996) replied with 8 points and 7 rebounds and Karla Mancilla (-2002) added 4 points and 12 rebounds in the effort for Azucareras.
