Regular Season Round 7: Lagomar - Yale 61-60

The most exciting game of round 7 in the Liga Femenina took place in Montevideo. This derby game ended with only one-point defeat on the road of 6th ranked Yale (3-5) to seventh ranked Lagomar (2-6) 61-60 on Saturday evening. It was a great evening for Paraguayan forward Natalia Quevedo (170-1998) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 13 rebounds. Point guard Camila Panetta (162-2001) helped adding 10 points. At the losing side Argentinian point guard Julieta Sienra (161-2003) responded with a double-double by scoring 19 points, 11 rebounds and 6 assists and Argentinian Agustina Bazan (174-2003) scored 11 points and 9 rebounds. Yale's coach Gino Alderete tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Lagomar maintains seventh place with 2-6 record. Yale at the other side keeps the sixth position with five games lost. Lagomar's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Montevideo to the arena Urunday.
