Leader Potters S. recorded the eighth victory on Sunday night. This time they beat bottom-ranked Spanish Heat (0-9) 101-90. Potters S. dominated down low during the game scoring 72 of its points in the paint compared to Spanish Heat's 44. Potters S. forced 25 Spanish Heat turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. It was a great evening for Welsh point guard Jacob Lloyd (183-1994, college: Harris-Stowe St.) who led his team to a victory scoring 22 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists. Guard Iornie Joseph helped adding 16 points and 13 rebounds. Potters S.'s coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side Jesus Reyes responded with a double-double by scoring 29 points and 10 rebounds and Steven Matthew scored 22 points and 7 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The victory was the sixth consecutive win for Potters S.. They maintain first place with 8-1 record. Spanish Heat lost their ninth game in a row. Newly promoted team still closes the standings with nine games lost.
