Regular Season Round 14: Motilones - Bucaros 78-54

Very important is a road loss of second ranked Bucaros (10-5) against fourth ranked Motilones (4-10) on Tuesday night. Visiting Bucaros were crushed by Motilones in Cucuta 78-54. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Bucaros. They outrebounded Bucaros 51-31 including 19 on the offensive glass. Motilones players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists comparing to just 4 passes made by Bucaros' players. Argentinian-Italian guard Mateo Diaz (186-2002) notched a triple-double by scoring 16 points, 10 rebounds and 13 assists to lead the effort and Argentinian point guard Joaquin Valinotti (185-1998) supported him with 11 points and 6 rebounds. Four Motilones players scored in double figures. Even 11 points and 7 rebounds by Andre Souza did not help to save the game for Bucaros. Swingman Miguel Bermudez (195-1992) added 8 points and 6 rebounds for the guests. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Motilones maintains fourth position with 4-10 record. Bucaros at the other side dropped to the third place with five games lost.
