Another exciting game was again a derby between two local teams from Montevideo: Capitol and Welcome. Capitol won against visiting Welcome 84-74. Capitol made 19-of-23 free shots (82.6 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. American forward Karachi Edo (196-1994, college: Fresno St.) nailed a double-double by scoring 22 points and 19 rebounds for the winning side and his fellow American import guard Jacob Ledoux (190-1997, college: UTPB) accounted for 27 points and 9 rebounds. Edo is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Point guard Sebastian Sosa (175-2001) came up with 13 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists and Mateo Bianchi (205-2002) added 13 points respectively for Welcome in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Welcome's coach Diego Rivas rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Capitol's supporters look forward to another derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Montevideo to the arena Stockolmo.
